This book is called Manafi al-Hayawan (Uses of Animals) and is a Persian translation of another original book written by Abu Sa'id 'Ubayd-Allah ibn Ibrahim, known as Ibn Bakhtishu who was a Persian. For more information about him, you can read about it in this link in Wikipedia: [4]. He belongs to the famous Bakhtshooa Gondishapoori family who were originally Assyrian Nestorian Christians. Some of them served as the personal physicians of Caliphs.
